How do I use the Elgato Mac Reporter utility?

The Elgato Mac Reporter is a free utility that collects data that can be used for troubleshooting purposes.

Only use Elgato Mac Reporter to send items if Elgato Systems Technical Support requests that information. 

Do not use Elgato Mac Reporter to contact us unless you have already made a Support Ticket via http://help.elgato.com.

After launching Elgato Mac Reporter, you will be presented with this screen:

 

 
This tool generates files that allow Elgato to investigate issues with your computer and help improve Elgato products. The files might contain personal information found on your computer, including but not limited to your name, your email address, file paths, file names, your computer's IP address, and network connection information.

This information is used by Elgato in accordance with its privacy policy (http://www.elgato.com/privacy) and is not shared with any other company. By using this tool and send the results to Elgato, you consent to Elgato using the contents of these files to improve Elgato products.

Note that we cannot acknowledge every submission - we will attempt to fix the issue in future software updates.


 
Sending Your Report To Elgato


Please only send items if Elgato Systems Technical Support requests that information.

Enter your name, email address, and support ticket number, so we can find your report quickly.  You should also include a summary of the problem you are experiencing.

 
 

 
Once you press Send to Elgato, the files you selected are compressed and automatically sent to Elgato's online storage space.  After that upload is complete, you have the option of sending a separate email that includes more information about your situation.
